WHAT IS IT: This medical-grade trichloroacetic acid peel is the strongest concentration we carry. This peel will arrive in a 30ml (1fl oz) glass amber bottle. This amount will provide 8-10 full face peels. Because of the intensity of this 1.5 pH peel, we recommend it only for experienced users.

HOW DO YOU USE IT: The 25% TCA Peel is a medium to deep chemical peel, the depth of which is controlled by the amount of time you leave it on your skin. WHAT TO EXPECT: After you have applied the peel, your skin may be red. This is normal, and you may wear makeup to tone the redness down. About two days after you’ve performed this peel, your skin will start to dry out and look leathery, brownish and aged. Don’t panic, this is what we want! Your skin is preparing to shed, and that will occur over the next 3-5 days for most people.
You can encourage peeling by using warm compresses and taking hot showers, but you cannot pick at the skin! In order to avoid scarring and complications, your skin must come off when it is ready.
The use of sunscreen is essential to obtaining the results you are looking for.
OTHER INFORMATION: This peel suits most skin types. Use additional caution with sensitive skin & skin types above a “three” on the Fitzpatrick Scale. A spot test is always recommended, no matter your skin tone.

TCA peels are a great way to improve the look of your skin, be sure if you are a newbie to skin peels you do plenty of research to be sure this is the right type of peel and strength for your skin type. TCA can be diluted to a strength appropraite for your skin with water.
Individuals with sensitive skin or newbies should start with glycolic acids first then graduate to TCA – A 5-15% strength is recommened for newbies. If you are a seasoned chemical peel user and need a stronger acid to remove layers of skin than 15-25% is recommended. TCA peels are NOT recommended for perople with darker skin types as hypopigmentation can occur ( patches of missing skin color). Please be sure to do the proper research! Do NOT begin with the 20% or 25% TCA unless you have used 15% several times successfully.
